Duane has been a part of the Hastings Community his entire life. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Spring Arbor College and a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University.  He is licensed as a Master’s level Psychologist by the state of Michigan and has 30 years of experience working in the mental health field.

Duane and his wife, Dawn, have two adult children with whom they enjoy spending time.  Duane is an avid golfer and enthusiastic Detroit Lions fan.  He enjoys playing softball in the summer, but likes to hibernate in the winter.
